Description
 

Optocoupler is a device that is mainly made of LED & Photocell. It is also called opto-isolator, optical isolator, photocoupler. The input element is LED and output element is the photocell. When there is current is applied to the LED, the output photocell turns on. They work together to provide electrical isolation. That is, there is a short optical transmission path to transfer a signal between LED and Photocell, while keep them electrically isolated.
